Using an ROV (robotic unmanned sub), we took video of animals off of Bailey Island, Maine. In this video, we come upon a lobster eating from a bait bag.
The video was taken using Captain James Jone's ROV (http://www.nauticvi deo.com/ ). The video is being used by the Log Cabin Inn (http://www.logcabin -maine.com/ ) to show guests what lives underwater in front of the inn.

Our son rescued a young woodcock from a cat. The woodcock was in good shape overall, with just a few cuts to its wing. It readily ate worms and drank water.
We took the bird over to our local vet who gave it antibiotics and sent it off to the good folks at Avian Haven (http://www.avianhav en.org/ ).

Once a year, the Thompson Ice House in Bristol, Maine, harvest ice from their pond in the traditional manner done for generations. Ice is cut from the pond using a combination of motorized and hand saws, moved by pole down a channel towards the ice house, and then lifted into the house by a clever mechanical lift and ramp.
